Australische Meisterschaft 2007

Die Berichte von Chris:

While its cold and rainy in Europe and Nth America, the Australian
Championships are on at Black Rock in Melbourne

They start on the 27th (Measuring) and 28th through to the 31st of
December, 2 races a day.

Marcus, Matt and Tim are entered, and thier is a rumour that at least
one European is entered, Andy G is coming down from Queensland and
there are 2 West Australians.

If we get the technology right you will find results on the Aussie
website http://www.contenderworld.de/aus/index.html, otherwise we
should get a daily report on yahoo groups.

The forecast for the next week in Melbourne is cold,

A fantastic days sailing at Black Rock

The morning race was abandoned.

In the afternoon, race 3 was 8 - 10 knots and the results were Marcus,
Tim, Matt Andrea, and Chris.

Race 4 14 to 17 knots Andrea, Marcus, Matt, and Tim, followed by
Richard Batten.

Both races great courses, waves, and in the 2nd race some great
reaches on the wire.

Light wind at Black Rock all day 6 to 8k, marginal trapezing weather

Marcus won both races in match races with Tim, the only question was
the minor places,

Richard Buttner 3rd , Chris Sutherland 4th and Johnno Neate 5th in
the first race and in the afternoon race it was Jonno 3rd, Andrew Pope
4th and Robin Dayes 5th

It is particularly pleasing that Jonno Neate, Andrew Pope and Robin
all young and new to the class are going well

The light conditions made it hard for Andrea and Matt Hosie

Last race is 12:30 tomorrow, New years eve. Marcus and Tim do not need
to sail they have 1st and 2nd already.
