Postal Ballot 2006 / Abstimmungsergebnis
Mit dem aktuellen Rundbrief, der gerade auf dem Weg zur Post ist, bekommt Ihr die Ergebnisse des "postal ballots" 2006 aus Deutschland. Inzwischen liegt auch die internationale Auswertung vor. Danach sind beide Regeländerungen angenommen worden.
Das heißt, dass nachdem die ISAF die Änderungen ebenfalls abgenickt und veröffentlicht hat, gelten die Regeln für uns.
Damit wird das Pumpen durch die Wettfahrtleitung wieder erlaubt werden können (yellow flag). Was die Segelnummern angeht, so müssen wir auf nationaler Ebene noch einmal offiziell unsere Regelung für Deutschland formulieren. Das wird auf der Jahreshauptversammlung der DM in Heiligenhafen geschehen.

Hi Contender sailors
Two proposals for Contender rule changes were approved at Annual General Meetings (AGM) by 2/3 majorities. Following approval at the AGM the proposals must be submitted to a World Wide Postal Ballot. These ballots were sent to representatives of the nations eligible to vote in very early March 2006.
These ballots have been sent out to the membership and results from completed ballots have been collected and compiled by each nation's representatives. The results have been sent to the International Secretary. Balloting concluded on 31 July, 2006
Rules change proposals require 2/3 of ballots cast in order to take effect.
Both rule changes have passed.
Rule 22: Propulsion (pumping flag)147 votes were cast126 in favour - 85.7%.21 opposed - 14.3%
Rule 4.2 Sail Numbering (using plaque number as a sail number)143 votes were cast101 in favour - 70.6%.42 opposed - 29.4 %
Now both rule change proposals will be submitted to the ISAF for their consideration and approval. Typically, ISAF considers rule change proposals at their 2006 ISAF Annual Conference in Helsinki, Finland. If approved, ISAF typically publishes the Amended rules near the first of the year following the November meeting
