Hi Contender sailors
This year we are having our Danish Championship together with the 49er and the 505 class, it is also there national championship.
The event i taking place in a town called Svendborg which is located on the southern part of the big Danish island called "Fyn".
I have made a bet with Joachim Happrecht (Shappy) that if there are more German contender sailors than Danish Contender sailors participating then I will give free beer to all contender sailors at the regatta.
Some facts around this bet:
- There is 15 members of the Danish class, there is 200+ members of the German class
- Its only around 300 km from Hamburg and there is no ferry or bridge cost. Measured in bird distance its 73 km from Kiel.
- A lot of people would like to see my loose this bet
- Germans like free beer
We will be racing on good old Olympic type triangle and downwind courses.
We will have the pumping flag system.(wow - free beer AND free pumping ;-)
There will be up two 5 races a day so do expect shorter races than Kiel.
The entry fee is a bit high(80 euros') BUT it includes, free breakfast both days, free lunch both days and free dinner on Saturday night.
